Bottoms UP!

The kids were having a contest to see who could play "dead cockroach" the longest. It was a pretty funny sight with all those little tushies in the air! They have some suprisingly strong abdominal muscles for those little bodies.

Best Buds

It's so fun having twin girls. When I was young, I told my Mom that I was gonna have twins. I'm not sure she or anyone else truly expected it to happen. I am so blessed and lucky! I love watching them grow and become better friends as the years go by. They are as different as night and day, but they share an incredible bond and love for eachother that I'm certain only twins can share.

Trip to Shnepf Farms

Last fall we took a trip to Shnepf Farms in Queen Creek. The family had a great time watching the pigs race, going through the corn maze, riding the rides and ponies, and of course eating a yummy BBQ dinner. It was a fun family time that we'll remember for a long time.

Girls, Girls, and more Girls...

The girls absolutely love hanging out with their cousins McCall and Star whenever they come into town. From the time their cousins arrive, to just before they leave; the world is full of non-stop, laugh your head off giggles. Of course, given the news that it's time to part, the giggles quickly turn into tears. We are sooo excited that the Hamman's are moving back to Arizona in March. Now, the girl's will have more opportunities to spend hour upon hour making up dances, cheers and skits 'til their little hearts desire. It will be a blessed reunion!

Snow Fun

Last Jan. we headed up North (northern Az.) to the Gravel Pits to let the kids play in the snow. However, we missed the turn off to the "pitts" which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Had we had actually gone to our original destination, we realized the kids would have likely "chickened out" after seeing all the people sledding down those steep mountains. Our kids tend to be very non-adventurous. Don't know where they get that...(ok, guess you can thank their mother.) Anyway, upon arrival at our own private snowy hill, Daddy started up the mountain with his garbage bag in hand. Unbeknownst to the kiddies, in a few short moments they'de be zooming down the hill quicker than they could realize what happened to them. As Kinley reached the top of the hill, with her bag in hand ,she asked "Daddy, why do we have garbage bags?" Daddy helped her assume the position, he gave her a quick little nudge and down she went. She screamed all the way down but thankfully decided it was worth the thrill and came back for more.Each kid followed suit and we all loved it! Even Mommy was brave and went down. She wasn't about to let those little ones show her up!

Slade's "Moves"

I was hanging out with Slade and I asked him to show me some of his "moves." He without any hesitation, became a world renowned karate master and got down to business. I wasn't expecting him to respond like he did, it was hilarious. We will have to enroll him into karate classes in a couple of years. I think he's practicing how to beat up all his sisters future boyfriends.

Christmas 2007

Christmas seemed to come and go so incredibly fast. I must say this year has been my favorite Christmas as we really reflected more than usual on the true meaning of Christmas. The kids even grasped what it was all about and we enjoyed being together as a family and celebrating Christ's birth. Oh yes, Santa did find our house, and the reindeer even left us some new movies as a "thank you" for the carrots we left out for them.

High School Musical Party

The girls were invited to their friend Daisy's High School Musical Party. The girls all wore their H.S.M. jammies, painted nails, wrote in their journals about how much they loved Troy (the cutie pie guy in the movie), ate lots of junk food and had lots of fun. Girls really do "just wanna have fun!"

Family Fun

The kids dog piled Daddy and were giggling and having so much fun together I couldn't help but snap a few pictures. There's no place as fun as Mom and Dad's bed. It's a great place to be tickled, wrestle, and laugh your head off. Oh, and of course, jump on Daddy.

Kassi and Kinley's Baptism

Kassidy and Kinley were baptized on Oct. 27, 2007. It was fun for them to be baptized on their actual birthday. They looked like little angels. It was definately a day of reflection as we remembered back to the day they were born. With the twins weighing in at under 2lbs. each, we are so thankful to Heavenly Father for blessing us with our beautiful, healthy, daughters. They keep us on our toes and fill our lives with so much joy.

Slade's 3rd Birthday

Slade had so much fun on his birthday! He couldn't wait to turn 3 and wear "big boy underwear." As he's a huge cars fan (the movie) he wanted CARS underwear and promised to never get "CA-Chow" wet. (That's what he calls Lightening McQueen). Slade has actually done a fantasic job and by far been my easiest kid to potty train. Who ever said boys were harder to potty train? He is a super fun kid and its really hard to not spoil him. He is the prince at our house. Especially on birthdays!
